Pradhan Mantri Faisal Bima Yojna (PMFBY) launched from 13.01.2016 after rolling back earlier schemes National Agriculture Insurance Scheme (NAIS), Weather-based Crop Insurance scheme, Modified National Agricultural Insurance Scheme (MNAIS).
ADVANTAGES::
Providing loan for Loss of crop due to,
· lack of rain.
· Natural disasters.
Providing loan of 2% Deferred payment on “Monsoon Crop”.
Providing loan of 1.5% Deferred payment on “Harvest Crop”.
ELIGIBILITY TO APPLY FOR THIS SCHEMES::
1. Farmer must be the citizen of INDIA.
2. Farmer must be harvesting Ravi, Kharif or other commercial and horticultural crops.
3. Farmers having crop loan account with central government becomes eligible for this scheme without any verification.
4. Farmer who has lost his crops due to NATURAL DISASTERS is eligible for this scheme.
